This advertising slogan has been reverberating in my mind for many years, long before I decided to make floristry a career. And over these years I have found that flowers indeed, have the power to speak volumes, even the most humble flower, especially when it comes to communicating feelings of Love, Adoration and Happiness.
For this husband, daffodils, which were selected as the lead player on his wedding day, signify the love he has known in his marriage, the ever growing strength he feels in his relationship and an annual sense of renewal that he feels on this April 12th.
I imagine that this feeling registered, at least subconsciously, in his mind, heart and soul many Springs before The Day. But now, on this Spring day, 10 years later, this seemingly modest gesture speaks volumes. For this man, the daffodil is indelibly associated with the affirmation of his marriage, a conscious renewal of his vows and his deep abiding, ever increasing Love in his heart for his Beloved.
